We like finding places off our road. We needed to stop at Walmart off I-90, and then we found Mary's Diner. Wonderful! I had the day's special: liver and onions! Not every place offers this, so I had to reward them with an order. This was easily the BEST L&O I've had! Nice texture, not overcooked, seasoned well, and a great gravy. Plus a generous portion. She had a reuben and declared it the second best ever. High praise that puts it up around Chef Art Smith's on Navy Pier! Service was tremendous and the atmosphere fun. I know not everyone has our taste in foods, but the menu had plenty of items which were appealing. It's too bad we are so far away!

I’ve only had great service, food, and prices here! Clean and nostalgic environment. We keep giving other local restaurants a second chance, but we always end up back at Mary’s! My latest meal was the pancake sandwich. There is egg and ham in between pancake slices. I requested chocolate chips in my pancakes. It was like a sweet and salty treat! My husband has a hard time finding Country Fried Steak & Eggs, but Mary’s has that too! And it’s good!

We stopped in for our first visit to this location. Have eaten at the Geneva location and it was great too. I chose the Cincinnati Chili and it was really tasty. Similar to Skyline but unique in it's own way. The side of onion rings was excellent. My wife chose the chicken fingers meal and they were amazing. Tender and juicy with a side in onion rings. We shared a strawberry malt milkshake as recommended by Andris, our very attentive waitress. A great visit, we recommend this place if you want great food in a cozy atmosphere.

Great oldies atmosphere with delicious food and friendly staff. Cook made our toddler’s pancakes into Mickey Mouse which we found to be very thoughtful. The Bel-Air BBQ burger was amazing.

If in Madison OH, stop and see Ron at Mary’s Diner. We are from out of town and he welcomed us as if he had known us for years. Great place, great food, great price. Thank you Ron.

Excellent service, such a cute restaurant... food was good and the warm brownie dessert was awesome!!

The very first thing that I experienced was this pleasant man who greeted us with a smile. He was so welcoming and kind. Great customer service is very hard to find these days so his kindness and smile were very much appreciated!! His name is Ron! Our waitress was awesome too!! Food was great. We will definitely come back if we are in the area.

Mary’s Diner in Madison, OH, is a classic diner experience done well. From the retro vibes to the quick, friendly service, it feels like stepping back in time to when diners were the heart of comfort food. I kicked off my meal with a cup of broccoli cheese soup, which was delivered to the table almost immediately. It was thick, creamy, and packed with cheesy goodness—a definite highlight that sets the tone for the meal. For the main course, I went with the Open-Faced Hot Turkey Sandwich. The turkey was tender and juicy, blanketed with savory gravy that hit all the right notes. The mashed potatoes tasted homemade—just the way I like them—with a few lumps for authenticity. This was my second visit to a Mary’s Diner, and both locations impressed me. With hearty food, quick service, and spotless surroundings, it’s an easy favorite.
